STEM Pathway with Distinction

Growing up I had always considered myself someone stronger in the humanities than in the sciences. So in high school, in pursuit of a challenge, I tackled the most challenging courses available to me (“doubling up” in mathematics my freshman year, then in the sciences my sophomore year). Along the way I learned not only the course material, but to maintain a steady faith in my ability to persevere and succeed through challenges. The analytic and problem solving skills needed to be successful in STEM courses is something I will gratefully take away from this experience.
